Quality Control Print E-mail

A key element in any offshore program is the Quality Management System. This is a cornerstone of our success as an offshore manufacturer. We minimize the risk of a quality issue through a series of redundant QC inspections and audits.

We begin each new product by gaining a thorough understanding of the product – the Critical To Quality (CTQ) characteristics as well as any application, performance, and regulatory requirements. These details form a Quality Plan unique to each project. This process is one of the value added processes that differentiates DSI from the majority of offshore manufacturers.

Once the Quality Plan is developed, our US staff implements it into the factory by personally training the QC management staff and inspectors. It is then tested during the pre-production phase. The final plan is translated into Chinese and used by the QC inspectors to train the operators.

The relatively low labor rates often allow for 100% and redundant inspections throughout the production processes. Dedicated QC inspectors constantly oversee the production lines. A final inspection is performed prior to shipping. When the product arrives at our domestic warehouse, it is once again inspected before being placed into inventory. It is then ready for JIT delivery to our customers.
